New Home

Wednesthday, 8th of August 2018, we were able to meet the University President of Chiang Rai Rajabhat University (CRRU) together with the cooperating teachers of our receiving school.

He told us the significance of this program to our socio-economic state and the camaraderie it will give to both nations and the unity it will provide for the future. He is very kind to ask each receiving school to have us and treat us well with care. And that touched my heart for he seem to me like a father who wants to keep his children safe and sound with love.

After his short message, he left for another meeting and Mr. Vice President formally hand us over to our receiving schools.

I arrived at my receiving school in Mengraimaharaj Witthayakhom School about 10 minute drive from CRRU (Chiang Rai Rajahbat University).  I met the School Director who welcomed us in his school and assure us of the assistance we need for our stay.

From left side, it is kru Ammy, me, Kim (student-teacher from PH), School Director, kru Took and kru Nice.

They showed us our abode and tour us at the School Campus. And meet new friends, new teachers  and specially new home.

Teacher Nice and Teacher Ammy, the one who took us at the university, took care of us and treated us lunch at a local Thai restaurant. They ordered Thai food and it is our first time eating Pad Thai noodles. Very delicious, BUSOG!

And as the saying goes, "Learn from yesterday, live for today, look to tomorrow, rest this afternoon." They let us explore and be familiar with our new home and a very good nap in the afternoon.

Such a roller coaster Wednesday for me.
